Biography

Charmé Southey love the outdoors and en plein air painting. She uses reference sketches done on location, broad brush strokes of local colour, and washes which she layers in some works. Charme enjoys the unexpected flow of the paint, she then adds the details. Her high school art teacher inspired her love of watercolour. She sees her work becoming looser, more colourful and almost abstract in the future.
